Rumor Alert: New "Half-Blood Prince" Photo and More
HBP FilmWe have a few pieces of news and rumors regarding Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to update you on.
First, thanks to Oclumencia via HarryPotterforum, who emailed regarding what they believe to be a new photo of Harry (Dan Radcliffe) from “Half-Blood Prince.” While you can see that photo, here via this link, we do not know the original source of this photo, nor what scene this may be from, and are working to find out more about this.
Also, as we all have been anxiously awaiting the teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, it looks (at this point) that the rumor about the trailer being attached to Prince Caspian opening this weekend is not holding true, alas alas. We have heard nothing new about when the trailer may surface in the coming days, and we promise we will update should we hear anything more on this matter. Sorry folks!
On a related note, while her name was not listed in the official WB press release regarding the cast for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, SnitchSeeker let us know they spoke to reps for actress Shirley Henderson, who confirmed indeed the actress would not be appearing as Moaning Myrtle in HBP. Finally, last week we told you of minor casting for the sixth Harry Potter movie, with Lord Johnpaul Castrianni cast in the role of a un -named Death Eater. Bloghogwarts spoke to the actor, who did not reveal much detail about his involvement in the movie, but did say “My scenes were filmed several months ago and I finished in february (2008). I was in the scenes regarding Alan Rickman, Dan, Michael (Dumbledore) Tom (Malfoy) and several other cast who I believe have not been officialy published by Warner Brothers yet, so unfortunatly I cannot comment on that yet.”

Since it didn’t make it for Narnia, I really won’t be surprised if we don’t get it until The Dark Knight in July. That is going to be the largest WB movie of the summer so I would really expect it to be attached to that. I hope it comes earlier than that, but I’m not expecting it before then.
Yeah its true. I went last night and paid $7.50 just to try my luck. No trailer :( But hey Prince Caspian is good.
Oh yeah since its a Warner Bros movie it could likely be attached to Batman: The Dark Knight. Who knows really. I going anyway I LOVE BATMAN…. and Poor Heath Ledger :(

Their are some movies coming this summer that could have the HP,HBP trailer on it. Like The Incredible Hulk, Sex and the City, The Strangers, Wanted, and The Dark Night. I’m guessing at least one of thoes movies has the HP,HBP trailer on it. Lets hope it does. Because I don’t think I can wait another 6 months for it too come out. I’m going to go nuts if it doesn’t come out soon.

The reason they got an actress who was much older who could play young was because they knew she wouldn’t age over the period of the films, unlike if they had cast a young actress in the role. Therefore it’s not a case of them cutting Shirley, but cutting Myrtle. I guess they thought the special effects budget would be better spent elsewhere because it does cost a lot of money everytime you do Myrtle, or a Dobby, or anything else that involves special effects.
As much as I love Myrtle, I’m not going to condemn them for this, as I can see the scene being done effectively without her, and I am not going to judge anything in the film until I have seen it for myself.
okay lets face people we may or may not have guessed where harry is and we won’t find out for certain until we get to see the movie unless we get lucky and they show enough of the scene harry is in inthe picture in the trailer to give us a crictical hint. but we musn’t count onthe trailer helping us much with this pic of harry. I just hope we get a trailer soon
Dear TwilightRoxs – in the US maybe ; worldwide = NO CHANCE!!
The only movies upcoming that I would guess that the trailer will be attached to are probably Get Smart or The Dark Night as they are the only WB movies to that point. No other studio is going to advertise it I would think. What trailers were attached to the Prince Caspian movie? Were they Disney related movies – anyone?
Yeah no trailer on Caspian, they did have the new mummy movie trailer, its hard to tell what that will be like though. Caspian was good, and I have Indiana Jones next week to look forward to. Still want more on HBP though, oh well I will just have to wait.
