Wow, I have only been gone four and a half hours and there’s all these new pics, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! July seems to have been the opening of the floodgates, we have Independence Day (US) AND Independence from stress, worry, wonder and waiting, DYING for HBP news, so many great images to drool over! YAY!!! The Spectrespecs are perfect, Evanna couldn’t be any more like Luna if she actually WAS her in real life, and Dan looks amazing. That scene in DD’s office (has to be after DD’s death) looks so heartbreaking and the WAND, oh, my goodness, what are they setting us up for in the beginning of DH??? CANNOT WAIT!!! Come on trailer, my July will be complete!
OH MY GOD!!! LUNA marry me!!!!!! HBP is gonna be the best film just because of this XD
The Luna pic is funny but silly. I mean, I like the spectacles and Evanna’s face but that’s it. I mean, all these new pics are way too romantic, comedic…Dunno. The pic with McGonagall is nice but still, I don’t see anything that sad or whatever… I don’t know I’m seriously worried about this film.Heyman said that there are a couple of flashbacks and there’s this entire romance/comic plot that gets on my nerves.I mean, ok the film needs some fun but all these pics mostly show that kind of subplot with the exception of th sad pics with Harry,Harry and McGonagall, Harry and Hermione in the snow and Draco in the Room of Requirement.Dunno, guys… It’s one of my least favourite books and it seems that there isn’t enough seriousness, darkness and action which is definitely needed after OotP and GoF which were definitely much more powerful (even though GoF was not canon at all in most parts and OotP was a bit bland and boring in some parts particularly due to the plot and the lack of interesting music)

Sorcererke, I was thinking the same thing. I suspect the film makers are altering the Elder wand storyline somewhat so that it is more fathomable to the movie going audience. If we think about it a bit, the Elder Wand story is bloody complicated and I dont think I even fully understand yet. It needs to be more simplified. Yes, I know its a Deathly Hallows issue but perhaps the film makers want to at least introduce us to “Dumbledore’s Wand” now but not necessarily mentioning the Elder Wand yet.
Remember, David Yates and David Heyman have said it themselves that they are juggling/changing a lot of storyline aspects necessary to make the best entertaining films whilst being faithful to the overall themes of the books. And I 100% applaud them for that bravery!

I am so envious of everyone who’s not at work right now! I can’t wait to get home so I can spend all night indulging in all the new pictures. Luna’s is the only one I’ve looked at so far because she’s my favorite character – and it was well worth it!!!!
Only thing is, is it just me or do the Spectrespecs look MSPaint’d onto her face? LOL :D Either way it’s an AWESOME pic.

Elder Wand!!! Love it!
This pic is part of the Empire magazine article, the one The Sun reported about yesterday, and after reading the real interview, it’s obvious that tabloid changed all Daniel and David said. For example, this is the real quote of Dan:
“Sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll? Thanks, David, that’s a comment I’ll have to fend off for months”, laughs Daniel Radcliffe later. “There’s obviously no sex in the book, it’s all subtext, but there is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels. We have a couple of what David calls our ‘Trainspotting moments’. That’s two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath . . . There’s a great balance. The light parts are lighter than before, and the dark parts are extremely dark … ”.
So all those people who talked too much yesterday before reading the real interview can eat their words now.
This is why I’m a luna/harry shipper. Luna is so much more of an interesting character.

Solo, what you describe as “interesting”, I would describe as “bizarre.” And that is why I’m NOT a Harry/Luna shipper. Who wants the hero of the story to end up with the resident freak?

I ADORE Evanna Lynch. She’s perfect as Luna. Her performance takes me back to Kenneth Branagh’s Lockhart. SIMPLY PERFECT.
