Coulson lives!

Among the many events happening at NYCC, yesterday’s Marvel Television Presents panel included some great news: Clark Gregg‘s Agent Phil Coulson will return in the upcoming Whedon TV show S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel head Kevin Feige explained, “There was never going to be a S.H.I.E.L.D. show without Agent Phil Coulson.” Watch Gregg gush over Coulson below.

Good news, Agent Hill. You won’t have to avenge Coulson after all.

    Unless it’s pre-Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D., what they were doing when all of the first superhero Avenger movies were happening. In which case Coulson wouldn’t have to come back from the dead to be in it. Psyched that he will be either way.

    Well, I know that Coulson is still alive (and voiced by Clark Gregg) in the new Ultimate Spider-Man animated series (although whether any of that show is technically canon in terms of the Marvel films is anybody’s guess…I’m thinking not so much).
