Glee’s Comic-Con panel took place earlier today, and with it came a few spoilers and a some press from attendees Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Naya Rivera, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz. The cast shared a lot of what we already know about season four and the split story lines between Lima and New York.
It was Executive Producer Brad Falchuk who revealed Glee Project season one winner Damian McGinty will not be returning in the immediate future. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
The Glee Project Season 1 co-winner Damian McGinty will not be returning – at least for right now, Falchuk told reporters. “Damian is not back this year,” he said. “The second half of the season, who knows. Right now, he won’t be in the first half of the season.” However, they would like to bring The Glee Project’s Samuel Larsen and Alex Newell back along with Chord Overstreet for Season 4.
Other news from the panel:
-They’ve written the first three episodes of the season
-Sue had her baby off screen
-Kurt will remain in Ohio for the time being
-Santana may find herself at the University of Louisville after all
-They hope to bring in Artie’s parents
In all, it sounds like the panel didn’t reveal too much about the new season, but it gave a clearer picture about how much we’ll see some characters. It’s still nice to see some of the cast together after a couple months apart. Watch them have fun – and make fun of Darren Criss’ hiatus beard – while doing press below:
