According to Variety, Danny Strong has been tapped to write the two-part Hunger Games movie sequel, Mockingjay. However, the studio had no comment, so for now we’re treating this news as a rumour.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will recognize Danny Strong for his recurring role as Jonathan Levinson, a nerdy Sunnydale student turned reformed member of The Trio. But Strong’s film and television career is much more coloured than just his memorable role on the cult vampire show. Along with a varying list of writing credit for film and television, Strong recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for his work on Game Change, a political film following John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
What do you think of Danny Strong as the writer for Mockingjay? Is he a good fit, or do you have someone else in mind? Leave us your thoughts in the comments!
