Glee Does Moulin Rouge – What Do You Want To See? (POLL)

It’s been a week since The Episode That Shall Not Be Named and I, for one, am firmly in the mindset of moving forward…perhaps to the Moulin Rouge. Ryan Murphy confirmed late last month that Glee would tackle Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film later this season and we’re wondering how he’s going to pull it off.

That’s where you come in. Tell us what you want to see – which songs, which characters – and how you want to see it. We’ll make predictions of our own, and next Friday we’ll post the results.

    4) Kurt (Christian’s part) – El Tango de Roxanne

    6) Tina – One Day I’ll Fly Away
    7) Rachel – Sparkling Diamonds
    8) Unique, Tina, Marley & Brittany or Rachel, Santana, Mercedes & Quinn – Lady Marmalade

      I agree with everything except Kurt doing Roxanne. I would love to see Sam or Jake do Christian’s part.

    Klaine for Come What May. Kurt singing El Tango de Roxanne will be great too. But Come What May HAS to go to Klaine. I personally think the finale version will suit them more (imagine Blaine singing “come back to me and forgive everything), but at this point of them I don’t care I’ll take either version.

      but unless they change which characters sing which parts, i cant really see them giving Darren the Nicole Kidman parts, which is who originally sings that line, I think.

    Cassandra does El Tango De Roxanne. It is a total dance song, and fit good with Rachel, Finn, Blaine, Kurt, Santana or Brittany as the second singer. Something can happen. And in the movie Satine is with another an during the song, the same could possibly happen in the movie.

    Klaine should totally sing Come What May, but another interesting thing would be for Kurt or Blaine to sing Christian’s part in El Tango De Roxanne, and for every girl to sing Lady Marmalade. Every girl.

    I could see Tina singing Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend. She’s single now, and I assume that will only be reinforced with Mike coming back in future episodes (I really cannot see Tike getting back together since no effort was put into their break up). That coupled with the fact that her character has had some of the more feminist/women empowerment moments over the years, I could see this being done sort of tangentially to almost any storyline, for example, as a stand alone choir room performance fitting into that weeks theme or maybe as a pick me up to any of the girls (probably Marley) who are having relationship woes.

    I would also love to see Darren sing Your Song so so much. And obviously, I would love for it to be a Klaine song (come on, the line about the eyes being green or blue. that was practically written about colfer!). Unfortunately, since Come What May has been prophesied as their reunion song, I feel like this one is less than a sure thing. But maybe this could happen earlier on in the episode. Maybe Kurt’s back in town for something (Thanksgiving please) and he and Blaine run into each other somewhere (the Lima Bean) and have an awkward conversation thats mostly pleasant and Kurt walks away and Blaine becomes sort of renewed in his love for Kurt and decision to keep gently trying to win back his affection (a la roses at the end of TBU and, maybe, Hopelessly Devoted to You) so he sings Your Song on the stage at McKinley for himself, but Kurt sees him. And then I dont care what happens in the middle, but by the end they’re back together with the grand Come What May performance.
