Blaine challenges Brittany for Student Council president. “Kurt’s absence makes Blaine a bit more ambitious with his time and with what he wants to do at McKinley… So he starts running for Student Body President, joins a bunch of clubs, he just goes a little power hungry.” (x)
In addition to his Student Council campaign, Blaine starts joining extracurriculars to fill his time. “(Spoiler alert: Blaine tries to join every extracurricular club imaginable to cope with Kurt being MIA).” (x) This appears to include a superheroes/sidekicks club, where he is a Robin lookalike Darren named “Kittenboy”:
The episode introduces Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Isabelle as Kurt’s boss at Vogue.com. “She’s my mentor, but we kind of end up mentoring each other,” he added of Kurt’s interactions with Isabelle [played by Sarah Jessica Parker]. “It’s very sweet.” (x)
