We recently told you that Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, which was set to be released in two parts, has now been split in three. Today, thanks to Den of Geek, we now know the release date and title for the third film!
The third Hobbit film will now be called The Hobbit: There And Back Again and is scheduled to be released July 18th, 2014. Those who have been following along will know that this title was previously given to the second part, which has now been renamed The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Exciting stuff! It’s worth noting that the release of parts 2 and 3 are only separated by 7 months, so fans won’t have to wait long to see the extra film.
What do you think? Have you warmed to the idea of a third film, or do you still wish The Hobbit was two parts? Let us know in the comments!
