What? Wait? We haven’t told all of our friends here at LeakyNews about LeakyCon yet? Unacceptable! Allow me.
LeakyCon preparations are in full swing, and I can tell you now that Chicago is not ready for what is in store for all of you this year. This year’s LeakyCon will be held at the Hilton Chicago on August 9-12. On top of having an absolutely stellar lineup of talent, special guests (like Team StarKid, Evanna Lynch, Scarlett Byrne, PotterCast, MuggleCast and more), the entire Leaky team is working to make sure this is the best year yet.
The LeakyCon 2012 rock lineup features the likes of Hank Green, Whomping Willows, Alex Carpenter, Harry and the Potters, and MORE over two full days! The full lineup can be viewed here.
In the same fashion as in previous years, Leaky will also feature some of the most respected authors and agents during LeakyLit. With a lineup that includes John Green, Maureen Johnson, Robin Wasserman, Rebecca Sherman, and Holly Black, LitTrack is a fantastic way to interact with and get to know some of your favorite celebrities in the book world.
Also noteworthy this year, is the addition of LeakyStars, a talent competition in which you have the chance to be featured on the LeakyCon stage, performing for thousands of other attendees. LeakyCon Director of Programming Jennifer Clack said it’s a great chance to “showcase all the talent we have inside this community. If there’s one thing we’ve seen over the years it’s that the Harry Potter fandom is full of talent.”
Don’t, for one second, think that we’ve spoiled all of the surprises that are sure to take LeakyCon 2012 attendees by storm.
