The Hollywood Reporter has the MSN Exclusive (?) teaser for Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables. It’s considerably different than the shaky cell-phone video we’ve previously seen (and which has since been removed), but what it lacks in consistency it gains in gravitas. Watch below!
The Hollywood Reporter calls it “haunting.” I don’t disagree. I’m a huge fan of movie musicals; some have been critically and commercially successful (Moulin Rouge, Chicago), others had big shoes to fill and flopped (Phantom of the Opera, The Producers) and others are fun for fun’s sake (Mamma Mia, Hairspray). I’m thinking this will sit firmly in the first category. And nothing would please me more.
