FINALLY, after what seems like forever, one of my favorite books of all time will be gracing theaters. The story is a magical one of a boy, a tiger, a dinghy, and the vast blue sea. I won’t say much more because it is just too good to ruin with spoilers of any type. And now we’ve got the first look at any type of footage from the film! Let’s watch the trailer and discuss.
My first thought was that, “WOW, this movie is beautiful!” and then that the tiger is downright terrifying! I have a healthy respect for tigers ever since Animal Face-Off told me they knock out their prey with a slap to the head, so the idea of being trapped on a life boat with one is an uncomfortable one to say the least. You don’t get too much of the story here, but you get a whirlwind tour of powerhouse visuals and they immediately brought to mind all of the emotion that the book so beautifully evoked. I am very excited about this film. What did you think of the trailer?
