There have already been a handful of tiny teasers and trailers leading up to the season 8 premiere of Supernatural. So what makes this one so special? It’s an uncut, nearly 3 minute long clip that shows Dean and Sammy’s reunion. So if you don’t want to be spoiled, avert ye eyes!
Things of note:
1. IMPALA! That car looks better every time it gets overhauled. Hopefully that means the end of the long line of POS mobiles we had to endure last season
2. Dean is seriously paranoid about identifying that both he and Sam are human. Guess Purgatory for a year will do that to a guy.
3. Brother hug time is the best. Well, second best. Because the first best is brother conversation over the hood of the Impala time. It is known.
4. One year seems to be the magical amount of time to be presumed dead on this show.
5. The video is called “Saw Enough” referring to what Dean says about Cas. We know already that Castiel will be back this season but we don’t know in what form, version, or identity. His first appearance will be in a flashback in episode 2 – after that it’s a bit shrouded in mystery. The haunted faraway look Dean gets when he talks about the trench coat-wearing angel (I mean, he virtually always gets that look, hence the good ship Destiel… I’m sorry I got distracted) makes me seriously worry what happened. Was Cas killed? Possessed? Did Dean stand by and let whatever it was happen? Was he responsible?
