With the highly anticipated premiere of Once Upon a Time now just less than one month away, some new, exciting things have surfaced about the upcoming season, including plot details, and an episode title!
This article contains spoilers. You have reached the point of no return!
Season one ended with Emma breaking the Evil Queen’s curse and bringing magic into Storybrooke. Season 2 is due to pick up where the finale left off, and though the curse is broken, there’s still plenty left to the story! BuddyTV reports that the first episode of season 2 will be called “Broken” and will focus on Emma and Snow White. Don’t forget that Mary Margaret now remembers she’s Snow White, so perhaps we’ll be seeing an emotional, yet totally kickass, mother-daughter episode!
This season will also feature a new fairy tale prince, played by Pretty Little Liars’ Julian Morris. Morris will play the role of Prince Phillip. For those of you that aren’t brushed up on your Disney characters, that’s Sleeping Beauty’s knight-in-shining-armor. Sleeping Beauty will be portrayed by The Tudors‘ Sarah Bolger.
Speaking of great characters from beloved fairy tales, we can also expect Once Upon a Time to show us their rendition of Captain Hook, a villain everyone will recognize from Peter Pan. Colin O’Donoghue will portray this version of Captain Hook, and it will be interesting to see how the writers choose to portray the famous villain!
Everyone who loved Sebastian Stan’s role as the Mad Hatter in season one will be pleased to hear that Gather is reporting he will be reprising his role as a heartbroken father in search of a way to reunite with his young daughter.
Though not much is known about episode one of the new season besides the fairly vague title, episode two promises to tell the story of the Evil Queen and Rumpelstiltskin’s first meeting. It’s fair to assume it will be dramatic with a smattering of dry humor, as is customary for these two characters’ usual interactions.
What do you think of all the things in store for Once Upon a Time in season 2? Are you excited? Tell us in the comments! And don’t forget to catch the season premiere on September 30th at 8 EST on ABC.
