PotterCast Announces Final Episodes

PotterCast announced today that it is heading toward is last episode, and hopes that you will help share your favorite moments to make the celebration special. Check out PotterCast.com for the announcement:

Some of you have been with us from the very first show, when we didn’t know what we were doing or how long it would last. Plenty more have found us somewhere along the way. No matter when you started listening, we thank you for being a part of it.

It has been an incredible journey for us, filled with moments and memories that will stay with us  for the rest of our lives. However, life and work has changed our availability and news in the Potter community has become less than enough to sustain a weekly show; this podcast has been inactive lately is because none of us wanted to make a decision we all knew was coming.

Speaking as one of the hosts, we are all nostalgic today. PotterCast listeners: What were some of your favorite moments?

    I personally enjoyed john being accidentally right about like EVERYTHING in Deathly Hallows.

    I found pottercast after the release of Deathly Hallows Part 1, so I haven’t been listening all that long….One of my favorite moments was John being upset that the trailer for Deathly Hallows Part 1 included all the major things, like the trio sliding down the toilet.

    The interview with Jo is a highlight, of course! But the ones I go back and re-listen are the Phoenix Rising one and the one on the trial. I love them both for widely different reasons.

    Mr. Blood, Sue squeeing about everything, LeakyMugs, and Frankie’s doodles. :) You guys will always be a big part of my fandom experience. Thanks for everything!!!!

    British Dogs and fuzzy hats, Pottersplosion! The entire film commentary to Order of the Phoenix. Frak’s laugh and all his Friends references. Cancludrums, Mailbag, The Jo interview, the interview with Duff Goldman, the inside scoop on the WWoHP.
    I’ve missed Pottercast for quite a while, but its understandable that you all have moved on. Good luck with your future endeavors, and thanks for the memories.

    I listened from the beginning and I really miss it. All good things must come to an end. I especially enjoyed the interview with Jo, the good old days before all of the books were released talking about clues and theories. Best of luck!

    So many memories. For me it wasn’t so much any one time, as the feeling of being connected to thousands of other people, and all the weekly laughs, excitement and speculation.

    My favourite filk would have to be either “Voldemort’s Outside” or “Lucius Baby” – both are classics! Can’t wait for the final show, but at the same time it’s sad to see it end. I hope to hear from some old favourites such as Sue and everyone from Mod Cast! All my love to the team :)

    I have listened from the beginning!! cannon conundrums when you guys used to get super in depth! i miss Sue! and will definitely miss all the excitement and theories when each little bit of news was revealed about each upcoming book. You guys really changed my life actually and i am so grateful! thanks Melissa!! xoxo
