The official Doctor Who Twitter has confirmed that iconic actor Richard E. Grant will be appearing in the upcoming series of Doctor Who. Grant is known for roles in Withnail & I, Dracula, and The Iron Lady.
Several sites are reporting Grant will play a villain in this year’s Christmas Special, also the debut of Matt Smith’s new companion played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.
UPDATE: This has been confirmed by the BBC. Tom Ward will also appear in the episode, which begins filming this week.
