Sam Claflin Cast As Finnick Odair

Hunger Games fans, the wait is finally over! BoingBoing and Variety are both reporting today that Sam Claflin, best known for his role in Snow White and the Huntsman, has been cast as the all-important Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, which is out next November.

Finnick, one of the District 4 tributes, is a major player in Catching Fire, and naturally rumors have been swirling for months now over who Lionsgate would be giving the part to. Claflin has beat out much larger names, from the likes of Armie Hammer and Garret Hedlund.

That’s two casting choices in one day! What do you think? Is he our Finnick or have Lionsgate made a horrible mistake? Say your piece in the comments!

    You have to WAIT before you make such announcements. Nobody from Lionsgate has made any official declaration regarding Finnick’s casting. Until they do, we have no Finnick. Why is this so hard to understand?
