The Avengers Back In Theaters

Managing Editor

Whoa! Some surprising news from The Avengers camp today- the film will be back in theaters ONLY for this Labor Day weekend through September 6th. Previously we told you that a director’s cut of the film was being put together for release this month, so it’s entirely possible that this will be the one that’s aired this weekend!

This would be a smart marketing move, as it would allow the film to take in more money in theaters while simultaneously starting the hype for a DVD/Blu-ray release.

The post on Facebook encourages viewers to stay through the end credits so as to see Thanos, pictured above, who is speculated to be the villain of the Avengers sequel.

Will you be going to see The Avengers again? Do you think it will be the director’s cut this time around? Tell us in the comments!

What is the source for this? Seems very odd that the news is breaking just now if it is supposedly opening tomorrow.

The source is the official Avengers Facebook page, which posted the image embedded above. The page can be found here:

Thanks! Based on the run time posted by participating theaters, it looks like it is the original version.

The 30 minutes addition to the film, also known as the Director’s Cut, was a debunked rumor (or so I thought…?). It probably has to do with the fact that Disney can sometimes be money-hungry and they’re taking advantage of the three day weekend Holiday. But, honestly, who cares!? I get to see The Avengers reAssemble once more!
