The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff opened its doors today, with the red ribbon cut by an extremely adorable miniature Doctor. Thousands of fans turned up to be among the first to see the new exhibition, which is based in Porth Teigr near the BBC’s own Roath Lock studios. The Doctor Who Experience was previously based in London, but has been moved from its temporary location to a more permanent home in Wales.
The Welsh tourist board hope that the exhibition will attract a quarter of a million visitors per year, and with exhibit names like “Walk Like A Cyberman” and the ominously titled “Monsters”, it’s hard to see how it couldn’t!
